Traditional wood Frame Workshop

Students assembling the Traditional Timber Frame on the Spring 2017 Fox Maple Tradtional Timber Building Workshop

In October 2018 Grampians Paradise hosted the Fox Maple's World Tour of Traditional Timber Framing Workshops here at Grampians Paradise.

This 10 day workshop included both theory and practical hands on learning while working on a large scale traditional timber frame project. During the project we built the frame of a timber bridge that will eventually even have a roof.

Terms and Conditions

Please read these terms and conditions before making a booking at Grampians Paradise Camping and Caravan Parkland. They have lots of important and useful information.

"Grampians Paradise Camping and Caravan Parkland" is the trading name of Redman Enterprise Pty Ltd. ABN 61 005 578 941. Redman Enterprises (Named after Redman Bluff - the mountain that forms the back drop to Grampians Paradise) is a family owned and run Company that operates Grampians Paradise Camping and Caravan Parkland that was established in late 1989 on the family property. A history of camping on the property dates back to the 1920's.

PRICES AND PAYMENTS

Our current prices are listed on the Tariffs Page of our website and on our online booking facility (except for prices for Exclusive Wildlife Stays). Prices on the Tariffs Page supercede all previously published prices and prices listed in third party publications or websites.

Our current prices for Exclusive Wildlife Stays are listed on the "Exclusive Wildlife Stays - Tariffs" page and the "Exclusive Wildlife Stays - Tariffs for Long Weekends and Holidays" page on this website. Prices on these pages supercede all previously published prices and prices listed in third party publications or websites.

 

Children are defined as from 1 year to 16 years old, Adults 17 years and above. Infants (no charge) are less than 1 year of age.

 

We are only able to accept payments in Australia Dollars.

The rates shown on the Tariffs Page of www.grampiansparadise.com.au and on our online booking facility are effective 01/03/2023 and are subject to change without notice.
The rates shown on the "Exclusive Wildlife Stays - Tariffs" page and the "Exclusive Wildlife Stays - Tariffs for Long Weekends and Holidays" page on this website are effective 01/03/2023 and are subject to change without notice.

 

Camping at Grampians Paradise on both powered and unpowered sites under the highest mountains of the Grampians National Park.

Minimum Bookings:

 

At the busiest holiday times of the year; long weekend hi-peak periods, Easter long weekend, the Melbourne Cup Week Hi-Peak Period and the Christmas to Wednesday after New Year Hi-Peak Period we now have a minimum number of nights stay for our sites and onsite caravans. The minimum numbers nights varies from one Peak Period to the next. There is also a minimum stay of two night for our onsite caravans for nights that are outside of long weekend hi-peak periods as well as the Easter long weekend, the Melbourne Cup Week i-Peak Period and Christmas to New Year Hi-Peak Period.

There is a 2 night minimum stay for Exclusive Wildlife Stays (that are outside of Easter Long Weekend Hi-Peak Period, the Melbourne Cup Week Hi-Peak Period and Christmas to Wednesday after New Year HiPeak Period).
For Exclusive Wildlife Stays during Easter Long Weekend Hi-Peak Period there is a 4 night minimum stay, for the Melbourne Cup Week Hi-Peak Period a 3 night minimum stay and for the Christmas to Wednesday after New Year Hi-Peak Period a 3 night minimum stay.

 

How do Minimum Stays work at Grampians Paradise?
Our Minimum Stay represents the smallest number of nights you have to pay for to secure a site or onsite caravan during long weekend hi-peak periods as well as the Easter long weekend, the Melbourne Cup Week Hi-Peak Period and Christmas to New Year Hi-Peak Period.
For normal bookings (not Exclusive Wildlife Stays), you can stay for a smaller number of nights than the minimum number, but you will have to pay for the minimum number of nights.

 

SHOULDER AND LOW SEASON there is no Minimum number of nights for Powered and Unpowered Sites (2 night minimum for onsite caravans and Exclusive Wildlife Stays):
During Shoulder Season and Low season (times other than Victorian and South Australian School Holiday Mid and Peak Periods, the Melbourne Cup Week Hi-Peak Period and long weekend hi-peak periods) - no Minimum Stay applies for Power or Unpowered Sites.

ONSITE CARAVANS: During Shoulder Season and Low season there is 2 night minimum stay for Onsite Caravans.

For Exclusive Wildlife Stays during Shoulder Seasons and Low Seasons there a 2 night minimum stay.

 

MID SEASON (Victoria and South Australians Winter School Holidays) Minimum stay:
During the Victoria and South Australian Winter School Holidays (Mid season) - no Minimum Stay applies for Power or Unpowered Sites.

ONSITE CARAVANS: During Mid season there is 2 night minimum stay for Onsite Caravans.

For Exclusive Wildlife Stays during the Mid Season (Victorian and South Australian Winter School Holiday) there a 2 night minimum stay.

MID SEASON (South Australian summer, autumn and spring school holidays outside of Victorian school holidays and long weekend hi-peak periods) Minimum stay:
During the South Australian summer, autumn and spring school holidays for dates that are not included within the Victorian school holidays and long weekend hi-peak periods - no Minimum Stay applies for Power or Unpowered Sites.

ONSITE CARAVANS: During Mid season there is 2 night minimum stay for Onsite Caravans.

For Exclusive Wildlife Stays during the Mid Season (South Australian summer, autumn and spring school holidays for dates that are not included within the Victorian school holidays and long weekend hi-peak periods) there a 2 night minimum stay.

 

PEAK SEASON - Peak or Hi-Peak Period (long weekend hi-peak periods and the Victorian Spring, Summer and Autumn School Holiday Peak Periods) - Minimum Stays:

Victorian Labour Day Long Weekend Hi-Peak Period (in March) - Minimum Stay:
For the Victorian March Labour Day Long Weekend Hi-Peak Period the minimum numbers of nights is 2 nights.
You can book a 1 night stay, but you will have to pay for 2 nights.
For Exclusive Wildlife Stays during the Victorian March Labour Day Long Weekend Hi-Peak Period there a 3 night minimum stay.

Autumn Victorian School Holiday Peak Periods - Minimum Stay : (outside of the Easter Long Weekend Hi-Peak Period and Anzac Day Long Weekend Peak Period).
For the Victorian Autumn School Holiday Peak Period (outside of the the Easter and Anzac Day long weekend hi-peak periods) no Minimum Stay applies for Power or Unpowered Sites, however there is a 2 night minimum for onsite caravans.
For Exclusive Wildlife Stays during the Victorian Autumn School Holiday Peak Period (outside of the Easter Long Weekend Hi-Peak Period and Anzac Day Long Weekend Hi-Peak Period) there a 2 night minimum stay.

Easter Long Weekend Hi-Peak Period - Minimum Stay:
For the Easter Long Weekend Hi-Peak Period the minimum numbers of nights is 4 nights.
You can book a shorter stay, but you will have to pay for 4 nights.
For Exclusive Wildlife Stays during the Easter Long Weekend Hi-Peak Period there a 5 night minimum stay.

Anzac Day Long Weekend Hi-Peak Period (in late April) - Minimum Stay:
For the Anzac Day Long Weekend Hi-Peak Period the minimum numbers of nights is 2 nights.
You can book a 1 night stay, but you will have to pay for 2 nights.
For Exclusive Wildlife Stays during the Anzac Day Long Weekend Hi-Peak Period there a 3 night minimum stay.

Kings (Queens) Birthday Long Weekend Hi-Peak Period (in June) - Minimum Stay:
For the Kings (Queens) Birthday Long Weekend Hi-Peak Period the minimum numbers of nights is 2 nights.
You can book a 1 night stay, but you will have to pay for 2 nights.
For Exclusive Wildlife Stays during the Queens (Kings) Birthday Long Weekend Hi-Peak Period there a 3 night minimum stay.

Spring Victorian School Holiday Peak Period - Minimum Stay: (outside of the AFL Grand Final and South Australian Labour Day long weekend hi-peak periods).
For the Victoria Spring School Holiday Peak Period (excluding the AFL Grand Final and S.A. Labour Day long weekend hi-peak periods) no Minimum Stay applies for Power or Unpowered Sites, however there is a 2 night minimum for onsite caravans.
For Exclusive Wildlife Stays during the Victorian Spring School Holiday Peak Period (outside of the AFL Grand Final and S.A. Labour Day long weekend hi-peak periods) there a 2 night minimum stay.

AFL Grand Final Long Weekend Hi-Peak Period and South Australian Labour Day Long Weekend Hi-Peak Period - Minimum Stay:
For the AFL Grand Final and South Australian Labour Day long weekend hi-peak periods the minimum numbers of nights is 2 nights.
You can book a 1 night stay, but you will have to pay for 2 nights.
For Exclusive Wildlife Stays during the AFL Grand Final and South Australian Labour Day long weekend hi-peak periods there a 3 night minimum stay.

For the October South Australian Labour Day long weekend in 2024, 2025 and 2026, no Minimum Stay applies for Power or Unpowered Sites, however there is a 2 night minimum for onsite caravans.
For Exclusive Wildlife Stays during the October South Australian Labour Day long weekend hi-peak period there a 3 night minimum stay.

Melbourne Cup Week Hi-Peak Period - Minimum Stay:
For Melbourne Cup Week Hi-Peak Period the minimum number of nights 3 nights.
You can book a shorter stay, but you will have to pay for 3 nights.
For Exclusive Wildlife Stays during the Melbourne Cup Week Hi-Peak Period there a 4 night minimum stay.

Mid December to 23rd December Hi-Peak Period - Minimum Stay:
For 20th December 2024, 19th December 2025 pr 18th December 2026 to 23rd December no Minimum Stay applies for Power or Unpowered Sites, however there is a 2 night minimum for onsite caravans.
For Exclusive Wildlife Stays during the Mid December to 23rd December Hi-Peak Period there a 2 night minimum stay.

Christmas Eve (24th December) to the Wednesday after New Year Hi-Peak Period - Minimum Stay:
For 24th December 2024 to 8th January 2025, 24th December 2025 to 7th January 2026 or 24th December 2026 to 6th January 2027 the minimum numbers of nights is 2 nights.
You can book a shorter stay, but you will have to pay for 2 nights.
For Exclusive Wildlife Stays during the Christmas Eve (24th December) to Wednesday after New Year Hi-Peak Period there a 3 night minimum stay.

Mid January to Tuesday 24th January 2023 Hi-Peak Period - Minimum Stay:
For 9th January 2025 to 23th January 2025 and from 8th January 2026 to 22nd January 2026 no Minimum Stay applies for Power or Unpowered Sites, however there is a 2 night minimum for onsite caravans.
For Exclusive Wildlife Stays from the Thursday after New Year to end of January there a 2 night minimum stay.

Australia Day Long Weekend to end of January Hi-Peak Period - Minimum Stay:
For 24th January 2025 to 27th January 2025 and 23rd January 2026 to 26th January 2026 the minimum numbers of nights is 2 nights.
You can book a 1 night stay, but you will have to pay for 2 nights.
For Exclusive Wildlife Stays during the Australia Day long weekend to end of January Hi-Peak Period there a 3 night minimum stay.

 

Australian native wildlife often seen at Grampians Paradise particularly if you are participating in an Exclusive Wildlife Stay

Confirming a Booking with a Deposit:

You will need to pay a deposit to confirm a booking.

If booking online full payment is required to compete and confirm the booking.

Full payment is required to confirm an Exclusive Wildlife Stay at anytime.

For booking made by phone, email or at our front desk the following deposits are required to confirm a booking:
To Confirm a booking (excluding Exclusive Wildlife Stays*^* ) for long weekends and all other Peak and Hi-Peak Periods (including the Easter Long Weekend Hi-Peak Period, the Melbourne Cup Week Hi-Peak Period, and the Christmas to Wednesday after New Year period) and the Victorian Autumn, Spring and Summer School Holiday Peak and Hi-Peak Periods full payment (including a non-refundable deposit of 25%) is required.
For bookings at other times (excluding Exclusive Wildlife Stays*^* ) you will need to pay a non-refundable deposit of 1 nights fees to confirm a booking.

*^* To confirm a booking for an Exclusive Wildlife Stay full payment is required.

We do not charge a credit card surcharge on deposits or other payments.
ALSO: Please see Deposits section of the terms and conditions for more information on deposits and paying the balance.

Premier Sites with Fireplace:

Premier Sites with Fireplaces are very large sites, and include our largest sites. In Summer from mid-December to the Wednesday before Easter, you will not be allowed to use the fireplaces, as this corresponds with our Summer Fire Season when camp fires can not be lit.

Campfires winter and spring only. (No fires during Summer Fire Season).
From Easter though winter and spring up to mid-December fires are allow at the discretion of the management in fire places or approved fire bowls. Please check with staff before lighting a fire.

Maximum Number of People allow on a Site:

The Maximum Number of people per site is different for each site as our sites range in size from 54 square metres for North 2 (N2), up to 360 square metres for Parkland 9 (P9). North 2 (N2) - an economy unpowered site has a maximum of 3 people. Parkland 9 (P9) - an exceptionally large premier unpowered site has a maximum number of 16 people, but as with all sites you do need to check that you will all fit without crowding. Some cars can be parked off site (see No. 6 of near the bottom of the terms and conditions). For the maximum number of people for each site please see the list of sites on either Choosing a site by location & map or Choosing a site by classification or type.

NOTE RE BOOKING ONSITE CARAVANS: With our onsite caravans please make sure that the number of people booked to stay in a caravan does not exceed the "berth" of a caravan. Eg. a 6 berth caravan can take a maximum of 6 people.

We May Need to Change Your Site:

While we will make every effort to place you on the site (or in the caravan) you book, we may need to change your booking to another site (or Caravan). To allow us to do this we reserve the right to change the site or caravan that you have booked. Sometimes some of the sites become too wet to use after a heavy rain, or unexpected maintenance is needed on a site or caravan. We will contact you if we need to change your booking.

 

Please note that to be able to make a booking for an Exclusive Wildlife Stays you need to choose dates where there are no preexisting booking at Grampians Paradise - this is because Exclusive Wildlife Stays stay are exclusive - that is no other guests stay at Grampians Paradise at the time of an Exclusive Wildlife Stay.

What is An Exclusive Wildlife Stay?
An Exclusive Wildlife Stay at Grampians Paradise, is where you get the best possible opportunity to experience seeing the private lives of the Native Australian Birds and Animals that call Grampians Paradise Camping and Caravan Parkland and surrounds their home. Exclusive Wildlife Stays are a minimum of 2 nights and include guided wildlife walks and wildlife watching. CANCELLATIONS - Non-Peak Seasons (excluding Exclusive Wildlife Stays):

For a bookings (excluding Exclusive Wildlife Stays) during Mid, Shoulder or Low Seasons (that includes no nights that fall within a Peak or Hi-Peak Period):

Non-peak 1a) In the event that you request a cancellation we do not refund the non-refundable deposit (1 nights fees for a booking that includes no nights that fall within a Peak Period or Hi-Peak Perod). **
Also additional cancellation fees apply for cancellations made within 14 day of the booking arrival date.

Non-peak 1b) For Group bookings, the non-refundable deposit is 1 nights fees for the whole group, as well as 1 nights fees for each site that cancels (should only some of the sites cancel), and 1 nights fees for each family that cancels (should only some of the families cancel).
Also additional cancellation fees apply for cancellations made within 14 day of the booking arrival date.

Non-peak 2) Up until 15 days prior to the booked arrival date the balance (less non-refundable deposit) can be refunded.

Non-peak 3) From 14 days prior to 8 days before arrival the balance (less non-refundable deposit) can only be transferred to be used for 1 stay within a 10 month period during mid, shoulder and low seasons (subject to availability) ***.
If not transferred (or no Medical Certificate can be provided) the cancellation fee is 100%

Non-peak 4) From 7 days until the arrival date (unless a Medical Certificate can be provided) no refund, the cancellation fee is 100%

Non-peak 5) There is no refund of payments in the event of late arrival or early departure.

Medical Certificates - Non Peak Seasons:

Up until 3 days before your booking (for a booking that includes no nights that fall within a Peak or Hi-Peak Period), in the event of sickness of yourself or someone you care for and a medical certificate can be provided for yourself or indicating you are required to care for the sick person we are happy to transfer your deposit to another date*** as well as either; transferring the balance to a credit that can be used for 1 stay within a 10 month period during mid, shoulder and low seasons (subject to availability) ***, or refunding your balance. From 3 days to 24 hours prior to your booking transferring your booking is the only option available to those with a medical certificate. ***

If something has gone wrong and you are forced to change your plans please contact us ahead of your stay, as we will do our best to help you out (but please make yourself aware of our term and conditions). Please be aware that cancellation as a result of inclement weather or closure of any part of the Grampians National Park will not be considered outside of our terms and conditions unless Grampians Paradise or access to Grampians Paradise is under direct threat (for example by bush fire). **

If you don’t contact us before 14 days prior (or 3 day prior with medical certificate) to your booking arrival date regards cancellation or changes to the details of your booking no refund or reduction of the total charge (if less than the original booking amount) will apply and when your balance falls due you will be required to pay it.

Cancellation Fee - Non Peak Seasons:

Up until 15 days prior to the booked arrival date, for a booking that includes no nights within a Peak or Hi-Peak Period, the Cancellation Fee equals the non-refundable deposit (1 nights fees for a booking that includes no nights that fall within a Peak or Hi-Peak Period).

Or if you have a medical certificate meeting the requirements in Medical Certificates Non Peak Season (Peak or Hi-Peak Period) section of CANCELLATIONS of the terms and conditions: Up until 7 days prior to the booked arrival date the Cancellation Fee equals the non-refundable deposit (1 nights fees for a booking that includes no nights that fall within a Peak or Hi-Peak Period).

For a booking that includes no nights that fall within a Peak or Hi-Peak Period, from 14 days prior to booked arrival date (or 3 day prior to booked arrival date with medical certificate meeting the requirements in Medical Certificates Non Peak Season (Peak or Hi-Peak Period) section of CANCELLATIONS of the terms and conditions) the Cancellation Fee equals the full booking fee (unless you are transferring the balance to another stay (where transfer of the booking is allowed - details in the CANCELLATIONS Non Peak Season section of the terms and conditions)).

Where transfer of the booking is allowed (see CANCELLATIONS Non Peak Season (Peak or Hi-Peak Period) section of the terms and conditions) the conditions for the Cancellation Fee will still apply, but be set by the new booked arrival date.

Extended stays:

Applications for extended stay must be made and paid for before 10am on the original departure date of your booking.
An extension to your stay will be dependent on availability.

 

** CANCLATIONS DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER or NATIONAL PARK CLOSURE:

** Inclement Weather and National Park Closure: No refunds will be given outside of our terms and conditions due to bad weather or any part of the Grampians National Park being closed.
Refunds will only be given if: (1) Public roads to the camping ground are closed by the authorities (2) Grampians Paradise is under direct threat (for example by bush fire). (3) Access to Grampians Paradise is under direct threat (for example by bush fire).

 

*** TRANSFERRED BOOKINGS OR TRANSFERRED TARIFFS (or bookings set up using a credit from a cancelled booking):

2nd August 2014 saw one of the largest snow falls we have seen from Grampians Paradise Camping and Caravan Parkland in recent decades. The snow stayed on the ground for around 3 days, giving an opportunity to watch sunrise from the summit of Mount Willian over snow covered mountains. Other winter photos include reflections in Blue Lake and a large male kangaroo in Redman Bluff Wetlands, both at Grampians Paradise Camping and Caravan Parkland.

CANCELLATIONS - Peak Seasons (Peak and Hi-Peak Periods) - excluding Exclusive Wildlife Stays:

For a booking that includes nights within a Peak Season (Peak or Hi-Peak Period) - excluding Exclusive Wildlife Stays:

Peak 1a) In the event that you request a cancellation we do not refund the non-refundable deposit (25% for a booking that includes nights within a Peak Period). **
Also additional cancellation fees apply for cancellations made within 30 day of the booking arrival date.

Peak 1b) For Group bookings, the non-refundable deposit is 25% for the whole group, as well as 25% for each site that cancels (should only some of the sites cancel), and 25% for each family that cancels (should only some of the families cancel).
Also additional cancellation fees apply for cancellations made within 30 day of the booking arrival date.

Peak 2) Up until 30 days prior to the booked arrival date the balance (less non-refundable deposit) can be refunded.


Peak 3) From 30 days prior to 15 days before arrival, the balance (less non-refundable deposit) can only be transferred to be used for 1 stay within a 10 month period during mid, shoulder and low seasons (subject to availability) ***.
If not transferred (or no Medical Certificate can be provided) the cancellation fee is 100%

Peak 4) From 14 days until the arrival date (unless a Medical Certificate can be provided) no refund, the cancellation fee is 100%

Peak 5) There is no refund of payments in the event of late arrival or early departure.

Medical Certificates - Peak Seasons (Peak or Hi-Peak Period):

Up until 15 days before your booking (for a booking that includes nights within a Peak or Hi-Peak Period), in the event of sickness of yourself or someone you care for and a medical certificate can be provided for yourself or indicating you are required to care for the sick person we are happy to transfer your deposit to another date*** as well as either; transferring the balance to a credit that can be used for 1 stay within a 10 month period during mid, shoulder and low seasons (subject to availability) ***, or refunding your balance. From 14 days to 3 days prior to your booking transferring your booking is the only option available to those with a medical certificate. ***

If something has gone wrong and you are forced to change your plans please contact us ahead of your stay, as we will do our best to help you out (but please make yourself aware of our term and conditions). Please be aware that cancellation as a result of inclement weather or closure of any part of the Grampians National Park will not be considered outside of our terms and conditions unless the Grampians Paradise or access to Grampians Paradise is under direct threat (for example by bush fire). **

If you don’t contact us before 30 days prior (or 15 day prior with medical certificate) to your booking arrival date regards cancellation or changes to the details of your booking no refund or reduction of the total charge (if less than the original booking amount) will apply and when your balance falls due you will be required to pay it.

Cancellation Fee - Peak Seasons (Peak or Hi-Peak Period):

Up until 30 days prior to the booked arrival date, for a booking that includes nights within a Peak Season (Peak or Hi-Peak Period), the Cancellation Fee equals the non-refundable deposit (25% for a booking that includes nights within a Peak or Hi-Peak Period).

Or if you have a medical certificate meeting the requirements in Medical Certificates Peak Season (Peak or Hi-Peak Period) section of CANCELLATIONS of the terms and conditions: Up until 15 days prior to the booked arrival date the Cancellation Fee equals the non-refundable deposit (25% for a booking that includes nights within a Peak or Hi-Peak Period).

For a booking that includes nights within a Peak Seasons (Peak or Hi-Peak Period), from 30 days prior to booked arrival date (or 15 day prior to booked arrival date with medical certificate meeting the requirements in Medical Certificates Peak Season (Peak or Hi-Peak Period) section of CANCELLATIONS of the terms and conditions) the Cancellation Fee equals the full booking fee (unless you are transferring the balance to another stay (where transfer of the booking is allowed - details in the CANCELLATIONS Peak Season (Peak or Hi-Peak Period) section of the terms and conditions)).

Where transfer of the booking is allowed (see CANCELLATIONS Peak Season (Peak or Hi-Peak Period) section of the terms and conditions) the conditions for the Cancellation Fee will still apply, but be set by the new booked arrival date.

Extended stays:

Applications for extended stay must be made and paid for before 10am on the original departure date of your booking.
An extension to your stay will be dependent on availability.

 

** CANCLATIONS DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER or NATIONAL PARK CLOSURE:

** Inclement Weather and National Park Closure: No refunds will be given outside of our terms and conditions due to bad weather or any part of the Grampians National Park being closed.
Refunds will only be given if: (1) Public roads to the camping ground are closed by the authorities (2) Grampians Paradise is under direct threat (for example by bush fire). (3) Access to Grampians Paradise is under direct threat (for example by bush fire).

DEPOSITS - (excluding Exclusive Wildlife Stays):

LONG WEEKENDS and all other Peak Seasons (Peak or Hi-Peak Period), as well as the Victorian Autumn, Spring and Summer School Holidays:

Full payment, including a non-refundable deposit of 25% is required to confirm a booking. 30 days prior to the booking any changes to the number of people, vehicles and length of stay must be confirmed. ****

MID SEASON (Victorian and South Australian Winter School Holidays), SHOULDER and LOW SEASON
And
MID SEASON (South Australian summer, autumn and spring school holidays outside of Victorian school holidays peak periods and long weekend hi-peak periods):

For bookings made by phone or email or in person: A non-refundable deposit of 1 night’s fees is required to confirm a booking. The balance is required to be paid on arrival. ****
For bookings made on our online booking page: A full payment is required to confirm a booking.****

 

**** Changes to your booking by you for a booking that includes nights within a Peak or Hi-Peak Period:
Up until 30 days before your booking arrival date, changes can be made to your booking and the price will be adjusted (subject to minimum stays for long weekends and other peak or hi-peak period and at any time for Onsite Caravans and Exclusive Wildlife Stays).
If you require changes to be made to your booking within 30 days of your arrival date (including less people or shorter stay) you will still be required to pay the total indicated on the booking – there will be no refund or adjustment to less than the original booking amount.

Please note that if you have paid for another family or other group members (as well as yourself) of your Exclusive Wildlife Stay, and they cancel or reduce the number of nights they will stay, you will be responsible for the cancellation fees for their portion of the booking.

Where an Exclusive Wildlife Stay is booked over the phone, we can arrange up to 3 part payments of group booking by separate members of the group. For example if there are 2 families we can do a 50% split of the full amount or 3 families a one third split of the full amount, but you will need to contact us directly by phone call to make such an arrangement.

FEES:

No Credit Card Surcharges on Deposits or Balance Payments:

We do not charge a credit card surcharge on payments for deposits or for payments made in full at the time of the booking.*****

Deposits can be made by Visa or MasterCard via the online booking facility on our website. Please note that to complete and confirm an online booking, full payment of the booking must be made.

Or:

Arrangements can also be made by contacting us directly, to pay deposits (or payments made in full at time of making your booking) by Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT), or by post using a Visa, MasterCard or American Express card.

Or:

If you prefer, we can also take Visa, MasterCard or American Express card payments over the phone.

 

Paying the Balance:

If paying the balance on arrival: (for bookings other than for Peak or Hi-Peak Periods, or the Victorian Summer, Spring and Autumn School Holidays), the balance and any extra amounts can be paid by Cash, EFTPOS, or by Visa, MasterCard or American Express card.

If paying the balance before arrival we can take payment by email, post or over the phone. Payments may be made by Visa, MasterCard or American Express card, or Electronic Funds Transfer. Payments (other than by Visa, MasterCard or American Express card) need to be made at least 2 weeks before the arrival date.

Payment of balance amounts must be made directly with us (not though the on line booking facility).

We accept: Visa, MasterCard, and American Express.

 

***** Where payment is made for a deposit, or in full, for a reservation, the payment includes a non-refundable deposit amount of between 25% of the full booking fee (for Peak or Hi-Peak Periods, long weekends and Victorian Summer, Autumn and Spring School Holiday bookings) or 1 nights fees (for Shoulder Season, Low Season and Mid Season bookings including the Victorian Winter Holidays) and 100% depending on how many days remain to the booking arrival date. EXTRAS:

Check in and Departure times:

CHECK IN – Our standard check in time for both onsite vans and sites is from 2:00pm until 8:00pm.
If you would like to check in earlier than 2:00pm you will need to arrange either a:

Morning check in: From 8am to 11am arrival at $10.00 per person. Availability of a Morning Check In is dependent on other bookings.
Early Check In: From 11am to 2pm arrival at $5.00 per person. Availability of an Early Check In is dependent on other bookings.

 

LATE ARRIVALS: Standard check in time ends at 8pm. It is ok to arrive after 8pm or even after 11pm however there are additional fees:

After Hours check in: For arrivals between 8pm and 11pm at $5.00 per person.
Late Check in: For arrivals after 11pm at $10.00 Per Person.

 

DEPARTURE – The standard time for vacating your onsite van or site is 11:00am.
You are welcome to stay at Grampians Paradise later than 11:00am, but if you have not either booked a Late Departure or and Afternoon Departure, you must have vacated your site or onsite caravan by 11:00am and returned your onsite caravan keys.
If you would like to occupy your site or onsite caravan later than 11:00am you will need to arrange either a:

Late Departure: For departures between 11am and 2pm at $5.00 per person. Please note this will only be possible if there is a vacancy.
Afternoon Departure: For departures between 2pm and 5 pm at $10.00 per person. Please note this will only be possible if there is a vacancy.

 

Day Visitors - (excluding Exclusive Wildlife Stays):

Day visitors are welcome (except during Exclusive Wildlife Stays), whether visiting friend(s) staying in the camping ground, or just wanting to come and enjoy Grampians Paradise Parkland or Redman Bluff Wetlands for the day. Day Visitors need to Check In at the office and pay a Day Visitor tariff of $10.00 per person.

DAMAGE, BREAKAGE AND EXTRA CLEANING:

For onsite caravan bookings we will require a security deposit (including a key deposit) of $200 for both small and large onsite caravans. ******
Any damage or breakages (other than normal wear and tear) may be charged to you.
Please make sure your onsite caravan and surrounding or site is clean and tidy.
Please make sure you pick up any rubbish (particularly lolly papers, cigarette buts, bottle lids and tent pegs).
Please make sure any ash or coals are left in a fire bowl or in a fireplace and are fully extinguished.
Please make sure no rubbish is left in a fire (particularly glass, foil, aluminium cans or nails from burnt wood).
Please do not damage the ground by lighting fires on the ground, or allow car wheels to skid.
Please note that additional cleaning or restoration time required to return your site or onsite caravan to a fit condition for the next people will be charged to you.

 

****** The security deposit will be processed on your arrival as a "Pre-Authoristation" on your credit card (puts a hold on the funds while remaining in your account - they simply become "unavailable" funds). Once you have checked out, and we have inspected the caravan(s) and found them to be in good condition, we will then let you know that all is ok and that the security deposit will be automatically released 10 to 12 business days after the Pre-Authoristation was processed. While we will endeavour to do the inspection as quickly as possible, it may take us up to a couple of days to let you know. If necessary, payment for any damages, or excessive cleaning will be deducted you credit card (we will let you know if this is to occur), and the balance released back to you.

If you don't have a credit card, cash can be left with us for the Security Deposit.
If paying the security deposit by cash, on your arrival, we will arrange a time for the post check out inspection with you. The inspection may take up to 15 to 20 minutes. You are welcome to make use of the camping ground whilst waiting for the inspection to be undertaken and completed.

CONDITIONS while at Grampians Paradise:

1. I agree that Grampians Paradise, it's employees, owners and agents may terminate this contract at any point upon being given 1 hours notice, which may be given at any time.
2. Parents are responsible for their children’s behaviour on the property and amenities provided. It is the parent’s responsibility to inform children of the guidelines. Children must be supervised while near the Lake and the wetlands.
3. While staying at Grampians Paradise, we ask you to be respectful of others in terms of the noise you make. Please keep noise to a reasonable level between 8am and 11pm.
After 11pm at night and before 8am in the morning please keep noise to a minimum, as it likely the guests on neighbouring site may be sleeping - we would much prefer not to have to come and ask you to be quiet.
It is ok to have music at a low level between 8am and 11pm, but keep in mind other guests may not want to hear your music. Please respect others, and if asked to turn down you music or quieten your voices, please do so.
4. Caravans and motor homes must be fitted with a working smoke detector.
5. Guests are not permitted to bring dogs, cats or other pets to Grampians Paradise or Redman Farm (the property on which Grampians Paradise is located).
6. Guests are not permitted to have Firearms or weapons at Grampians Paradise or on Redman Farm (the property on which Grampians Paradise is located).
7. No vehicle must exceed 10 km per hour. Other than the first vehicle, you may be asked to park extra cars off site to avoid crowding. Parking on vacant sites or roadways is not permitted. If it is necessary to park a vehicle off-site, staff will advise designated areas within the camping ground.
8. Wood fires are only permitted outside the summer fire season, fires must be contained in fireplaces or fire bowls. In times when fires are permitted you must check each day with staff that fires are allowed before lighting a fire.
Fires must be attended by a responsible adult while alight. Fires are to be completely extinguished and sprayed with water after use.
Wood brought into the camping ground must be pre-cut, pre-spilt and ready for use (With a Max length of 40cm).
9. In accepting the conditions all guests, agree to report breakages as soon as possible and to pay the cost of loss or damage to equipment and facilities provided.
10. We request that lights at night are to be directed and shaded so as not to shine on adjacent sites.
11. Only open weave mats are to be used on grassed areas so as not to kill the grass.

 

Responsibility: Redman Enterprises Pty Ltd reserve the right to cancel or withdraw any booking made for a person or persons or decline to accept or retain such a booking. The right is reserved to require any patron to withdraw from the property at any time if in the opinion of the Managers or their representatives, his/her acts, conduct or behaviour is offensive, detrimental or not compatible with the welfare, comfort, interests or harmony of the other patrons.
